The role of the CVOR Compliance Coordinator is to implement and manage the system and to monitor on-road safety performance. The Coordinator must monitor the company’s CVOR record and the performance information it provides, including violation rates, CVOR thresholds, CVOR audit scores, and the safety rating that it receives. The Coordinator should identify and address problem areas in order to improve the firm’s commercial motor vehicle safety performance. The Coordinator will be overseeing all drivers, contractors, vehicles and equipment to ensure the safe, efficient and cost-effective operation of our fleet. They will as well deal with all accidents that our drivers are involved in including preventative actions and communication with our insurance. The Coordinator will oversee the fleet licensing process, including updated drivers licences and vehicle licensing for multiple locations. Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities * Lead by example with demonstrating the attitude, behaviour and mindset to strengthen our safety structure * Overlook safety and maintenance of fleet and drivers, including applying disciplinary actions, up to and including recommendation for termination of contract * Report directly to the appropriate Manager regarding the progress of the Safety of the Fleet and Drivers. Make recommendations and implements progression of safety/fleet plan * Use appropriate software applications to perform daily work * Identify and provide information to drivers of any health and safety hazards * Assist with site specific work procedures & standards. * Work with and assist the Trainer and Managers on communicating and ensuring that drivers are aware of proper vehicle inspections requirements * Conduct meetings with groups and individuals as required in an effort to review and update new or existing processes, procedures or requirements. * Develop safe work procedures related to the fleet equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and regulatory requirements. * Assist with the development of standard operating procedures related to the performance of transportation activities * Report to management monthly, quarterly and yearly reports reflecting trends, goal and objectives for CVOR rating, accident/incident data and other pertinent information to maintain and safety and compliance Specific Responsibilities * Ensure Drivers complete a Daily Vehicle Pre-trip Inspection Report before operating the vehicle. * Management of our CVOR, driver tickets and partnering with our legal counsel and other managers * Ensure that Drivers report all accidents, roadside inspections, tickets, violations, infractions, or any other on-the-road incidents for any vehicle to the Compliance Coordinator. All incidents are to be reported. * Secondary Orientation of all new drivers ensuring comprehension of our safety and compliancy practices * Conduct any necessary disciplinary action necessary to ensure compliancy in all areas * Maintain manuals, policies and procedures for driver training and safe work practices * Request CVOR abstracts from the Ministry of Transportation semi-annually and review them. Maintain all files related to drivers and trucks * Careful and thorough reviews of NSC and MTO safety profiles and track and file any violations recorded on record, and properly choose the correct course of action to take * Manage and maintain driver’s logs via paperwork and database, and keep Operations informed of any violations and recommendations for disciplinary actions. * Update our Internal monitoring System to ensure all legal documentation, maintenance reports and driver qualifications are properly updated and recorded * Establishes and maintains a safe driver, driving and equipment program * Responsible for overseeing drivers, contractors, vehicles and all equipment are properly maintained above satisfactory NSC and MTO requirements * Ensure compliance with DOT and Canada national safety code regulations and requirements * Responsible for driver Hours of Service from ELD logs and driver files and qualifications to ensure accuracy and compliance. * Assist in the renewal of IFTA permits * Order, maintain, track and distribute Special Permits if required * Oversee the development and maintenance of the company’s health and safety policies, transportation and motoring policies and procedures in conjunction with the Trainer * Review safety performance trends and develop the appropriate disciplinary action plan where required * Work in conjunction with all managers to review concerns, accidents and incidents; * Complete accident investigation and reporting * Manage company drivers and owner operators violations, accidents, incidents and claims * Co-ordinate with Insurance carrier on renewals and maintain and provide all active and inactive truck listing for monthly adjustments * Ensure that Drivers report all accidents via our online software. * Communicate and send reportable accident reports to our insurance company * Maintain accident spreadsheet * Produce accident, maintenance and on-road safety reports which specify the particular severity and frequency rates in correspondence to the industry averages * Send and monitor accident reporting to insurance companies and maintain communication with the driver and insurance Revised May 2022 * Assist claim management through insurance * Ensure that Drivers licenses are updated as per the online software and placed in files * Obtain driver abstracts quarterly and review to ensure that Drivers are not under suspension. * Track, maintain and renew licensing for our fleet as per location * Keep all driver qualifications files up to date * Annual licensing renewals * Perform audits and/or monitoring to ensure policy and procedure compliance * Data entry for Fleet maintenance records * Other related duties as assigned Qualifications / Experience * 5 years + experience of related experience in Fleet Operations, DOT and CVOR management * Ability to be on call to handle emergency situations * Closely follow changes in policies and procedures within the industry and establish best practices * Knowledge of Hours of Service and MTO and DOT regulations * Knowledge of all applicable provincial and federal safety rules and regulations * Proactive and can work well independently and in a team environment * Ability to work within all levels of company from management to drivers * Strong leadership skills with the ability to set clear expectations, coach, develop and motivate * Strategic thinker with long-term corporate safety vision * Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with many diverse groups * Strong computer and presentation skills, MS Office(Excel, Word, PowerPoint) * Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while exceeding established goals and objectives * Ability to travel within Ontario as required in accordance with business needs * Must have at least a G Licence and must have their own vehicle to travel to other locations within Ontario on rare occasion.

This is a role for a Phone receptionist mainly. The first and most important part of the role is to answer phones as they ring. Then they will be directing and transferring the calls to the correct person. To do so they will need to page people. For this reason they need to have perfect english and a minimal accent if any. The second part of the job is data entry. They will be working with accounts payable and receivable doing very entry level data input. Ideally this candidate will have a generic but working knowledge of excel. Enough to know how to input numbers into it and enough to know how to not mess up any already inputted fields. They will not be working with formulas or anything. Basic understanding of how to bold, italic, change color of and navigate through an excel document. The role is from Monday-Friday 8-4. It is an 8 hour work day and they are paid while on their half hour lunch break. Ideally they want them to start out as a temp and turn to perm at the end of the 26 weeks.
