Are you an experienced dock worker with experience in terminal operations?Would you like to build your career in logistics operations?Would you like a job that starts early so you have most of the day to yourself?If so, apply now !!!!- – – – – – – – -Our client, a well established logistics provider for food products, is looking for a Warehouse for their Quebec City location.ShiftMonday to Friday, 4:00am – 12:30pm$25-$30 dependant on experienceJob DescriptionComplete data entry and scheduling requirements for dock.Assist with scheduling and dispatching responsibilities such as record keeping and schedulingCommunicate details of discrepancies, concerns, or complaints to Quebec City Operations Supervisor regularly.Oversee operations department in the absence of the Operations Supervisor.Work closely with other terminals to ensure that all deliveries or pick-ups are rescheduled correctly.Constant open communication with all staff to ensure that operations continue to run smoothly and efficiently.Assist with dispatching responsibilities such as arranging daily movements by assigning drivers to loads and equipment, and completing manifests.Complete the stickering, sorting and entering of bills of lading into the computer for outgoing freight.Assist drivers in person, over the phone or satellite with problems, inquiries, and any delivery discrepancies.Assist with the movement of freight on the dock as required. Complete required paperwork for loads and unloads of freight.Responsible for inventory control (manual and computer).All other duties as required.SkillsAttention to detail, planning and organizational abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong computer skillsExcellent people and communication skillsAbility to lift freight and other objects up to 50 lbs.Ensure smooth flow of communication, directions and paper flow.Experience & Education1 year of warehouse experiencePrevious transportation office experience is an assetExperience with AS400 an assetValid fork-lift license required.Experience with Raymond Reach and Counter Balance an assetAppropriate clothing for cold temperatures (thermal underwear, safety boots, hat, extra layers, etc)Very good physical shape, ability to handle and lift goods up to 50 lbs.
