M-F8 hours days30-40 hours per week60K/yearThe Human Resource Coordinator is responsible for overseeing functions related to employee relations, healthand safety compliance, and general HR administrative duties for the company including recruiting. Incooperation with the Management Team, this role will focus on maintaining HR processes and polices to ensureefficient operations and recommend changes to Management. Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests.• Maintain both hard and digital copies of employees’ records• Document and keep meeting notes up to date and organized• Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing interviews, reference checks and issuingemployment contracts (new hires and role changes)• Coordinate onboarding training and ongoing health and safety training• Oversee Health & Safety polices to ensure compliant• Assist with reviewing policies, procedures, and keep documents up to date via HR Downloads for staff to reference• Send team communication regarding company news and updates• Assist with administering any type of leave related to benefits• Answer employee questions and concerns related to HR matters and report to Executive Management Team• Support other assigned functions• Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.• Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP)• Joint Health & Safety Committee Certification (JHSC Part 1 & 2) considered an asset• Previous experience in a similar role required.• Strong knowledge of current employment standards act (ESA)• Strong presentation, written, and verbal skills.• Ability to identify developmental needs of employees and to provide coaching, mentoring, and other help,• Strong morals and ethics, along with a commitment to staff privacy.Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.• Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.• Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and outlook• Attention to detail in all areas of work
