As a plant operation manager you will be implementing our manufacturing policies and programs. This helps our plant maintain its competitive position and profitability. You will be the key! You will position, direct ad coordinate these actives so approved products are manufactured on schedule and within quality standards. Duties:• Define and recommend manufacturing objectives; develops specific short- and long-range plans and programs together with supporting budget requests. Directs the manufacture of products at lowest cost consistent with established specifications as to quality and quantity• Direct preparation of cost control reports, cost estimates, manpower and facilitiesrequirements forecasts• Formulate and install standard manufacturing practices based on comparative studies ofmethods, costs and production figures• Establish, approve, and monitor manufacturing and related subordinate departmental budgets• Devises methods, policies, and procedures to ensure Manufacturing objectives areattained• Monitors quality reports, and ensures suppliers are meeting company quality standards• Responsible for keeping up-to-date on equipment changes, additions, and modifications• Comply with all applicable OHSA, ESA and other provincial regulatory laws, as well ascompany safety policies• Any other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations or Senior Leadership team• Ensure all team members comply with all applicable OHSA, ESA and other provincialregulatory laws, as well as company safety policies• Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at anytimeQualifications:• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business or other related discipline• 5-10 years successfully leading a manufacturing organization• Tooling Knowledge• Fabrication Knowledge• Lean manufacturing Designation, Blackbelt nice to have• Supervisory and staff development experience• Ability to implement LEAN manufacturing practices• Maintain a satisfactory attendance record• Must maintain confidentiality of employee, department, and company business• Must utilize a laptop or PC routinely• Must have a valid passport or travel credentials.Physical Requirements:• Must stoop, bend, reach, walk; perform repetitive motions using hands to grasp, push,pull or do fine manipulations• Required to stand for prolonged periods• The ability to lift up to 50lbs. is required, with the ability to occasionally lift up to 75lbs.,preferred• May perform duties requiring employee to intermittently bend and twist
