Purchasing Assistant Barrie, ONThe role:• Coordinate daily parts orders and deliveries• Plan appointments and events• Act as the point of contact between suppliers and employees/supervisors• Create regular reports and update internal databases• Maintain accurate parts counts and requirements• Manage spread sheets, emails and internal system• Respond promptly to managers queries• Facilitate internal communication – distribute information and schedule presnetations and meetings• Suggest more efficient ways to maintain parts flow and troubleshoot issues• Review and recommend changes to our ordering system• Source more cost effective parts and or delivery alternatives• Maintain files and assist when required• Basic data entry• The purchasing assistant will be responsible for inputting orders into the enterprise You will need:• Previous experience as an inventory clerk or similar role• Solid experience with MS Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint• Attention to detail and accuracy• Ability to evaluate, prioritize various tasks/projects to ensure their timely and accurate completion.• Kan-Ban experience is an asset• High School or alternate vocation a plus.• Available to work Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
